Electronic Form Example

I like to give you an example of the status quo I encountered when I started working at CBRT.
I was very new working for almost a couple of months when I observed inefficiencies in business processes; I mean the paper-based forms and manual entry. I have discussed with my immediate managers whether we could improve the process. This has led to the design of a new platform, the second-generation Company Accounts System. At that time, I wasn't too aware of the database structure. But I knew the input and its theoretical background. With the help of my managers, we could work out a solution that entailed MS Excel for data collection and a Visual Basic application capable of doing batch data control, entry, and reporting purposes. We used these excel based forms with continuous improvement until I decided to design one with VBA macros that would ensure error-free data collection. We used those forms for collecting data from the providers very same year. We observed almost exactly no error in the data to be used. This was a real improvement in the collection, collation, and reporting processes all at the same time.
